Founded by the decision of the Council of Ministers on July 3, 2000, Çanakkale Onsekiz Mart University Faculty of Medicine has been providing education in its own buildings since 2007. The first two terms of theoretical and practical education are provided to our students in the Dean's Office building of the Faculty of Medicine located in Terzioğlu Campus. Çanakkale Onsekiz Mart University Health Practice and Research Hospital and its training areas are used for term 3, 4, 5 and pre-medical education.

Çanakkale Onsekiz Mart University Faculty of Medicine is a young and developing faculty and welcomes students with the highest scores in university applications. As of 2024, a total of 148 faculty members are working in 43 departments of Internal Medicine, Surgery and Basic Medical Sciences departments in our Faculty of Medicine, including 58 Professors, 50 Associate Professors and 40 Assistant Professors.

Our University Research and Practice Hospital was opened in 2008 and has the necessary technological infrastructure for undergraduate and postgraduate medical education.

An application was made to TEPDAD (Association for Evaluation and Accreditation of Medical Education Programs) for accreditation in Medical Education and all studies were completed and our Faculty's Medical Education Program received the Accreditation Certificate on 29.02.2020 .

Our faculty members are competent, well-equipped and experienced in their fields and aim to keep patient satisfaction and health quality at the highest level in their research and education activities.

439 Res. Asst. Dr. who successfully passed the TUS exam and are working in Surgery, Internal Medicine and Basic Medical Sciences are provided theoretical and practical training in our University Health Practice and Research Hospital and the Dean's Office building. The Faculty of Medicine, whose academic staff and Res. Asst. Dr. numbers are increasing day by day, has become a rising value for Çanakkale with its steady development in health services and education-research activities.

We work with all our might to train competent and respected physicians of the future with a family approach with our faculty members for the 1257 registered students of our faculty.
